Tehran, Sept. 5, irna -- Remains of a female woman were excavated
in Aq-oular, the most ancient pre-historic cemetery in Gilan
province, along with combat equipment and a horse, buried with her.
According to the public relations office of the cultural heritage
organization the skeleton was found, in the 2500-old cemetery, with
different combat tools, a horse and some other items.
Sword, spear, pots and decorative glass beads and metal strips
were among other things which were found buried with the woman
Experts believe that the tools excavated indicate that the 30
year old woman whose skeleton was found belonged to a high class
Since the beginning of the excavation operation in June at
aq-oular the archaeologist team, headed by Mohammad-Reza Khalatbari,
has excavated 30 graves so far but it is the first time the team found
a hours buried.
The most valuable case was a grave of a man who were buried along
with his wife and a child.
